COVID-19 PROCEDURES

Helping to keep our customers safe and informed.

Following the outbreak and ongoing development of COVID-19, we would like to assure members of the public that the safety and wellbeing of customers visiting our restaurant is of utmost importance.

We are strictly following guidance issued by the UK Government to ensure we follow all necessary procedures to protect our employees and visitors.

We all have a duty of care to ensure we collectively prevent the spread of the virus and in addition to closely monitor the situation, we are adapting our plans, policies, and procedures to remain vigilant.

As you may be aware, the Government have advised us that restaurants may re-open from November 9th subject to certain conditions being met.

We are working extremely hard behind the scenes to ensure there is a fantastic dining experience ready and waiting for you, whilst making sure that we keep you, our team, and local communities safe.

There will be some changes to the way we deliver our service, but rest assured, your experience will not be compromised, and you can still expect the same great food, delivered by our conscientious team.

FAQ’s

To help answer any questions we have put together a list of FAQs, but we’re more than happy to address any other concerns you might have over the phone, online or via email.

Q: Will I need to wear a face covering?
A:The guidance from the Welsh government states:
Face coverings must be worn in all indoor public places. This includes on public transport and taxis, and in places where food and drink is served, other than when you are seated to eat or drink. This applies to everyone aged 11 and over, unless an exception applies. Children under 11 do not have to wear face coverings.

Q: When will you re-open?
A: Following the greenlight from UK Government, we are pleased to confirm that we will be opening our doors on Monday 9th November, please see our website for opening times as this has changed.

Q: Can I just turn up or do I have to make a booking?
A: To allow us to maintain social distancing, manage our restaurant capacity and ensure our customers have the best possible experience you will need to pre-book a table to dine. You can simply make a reservation on our online booking system or call 01745 530000.

Q: What steps have you taken to ensure customer and staff safety?
A: As part of our re-opening plan, we have spaced all our tables by a minimum of 2 meters. We have installed hand sanitizing stations at the entrance and around the restaurant.

On arrival, you will be greeted by one of our team and instructed on all procedures they will then personally escort you to your pre-booked table where you will receive our full table service. We would ask you not to move around the restaurant unless you need to use the toilets. Once at your table, you will be provided with a single-use menu and all orders will be taken by your server at your table.

Q: What about sanitizing surfaces and touch points in the building?
A: All tables and chairs will be sanitized after each guest has finished dining, and there will be a detailed clean prior to each service.

Q: PPE for our staff?
A: We are adhering to specific Government advice which confirms; Staff working in areas of indoor premises which are open to the public are also required by law to wear face coverings while they are in those areas, subject to the same exceptions which apply to customers. Rather than wearing gloves which can lead to poor hygiene controls, our teams will follow a more robust process of hand washing on a regular basis.

Q: Do you check your team’s temperatures before starting work, to ensure they are not asymptomatic or spreading the virus to your customers?
A: While Government guidance is that temperature checking is not mandatory, we will be conducting daily and weekly health checks with all our team members.

Q: What about toilet facilities?
A: We have put in place only one family at a time to use the toilets.

Q: Is the menu the same as before?
A: The only restrictions we have are from suppliers so we will change the menu to reflect this.

Q. Payment methods
A: Where possible we are asking our guests to pay by card, our contactless limit has been upped to £45.

Q. Will I be asked to provide proof of my contact details?
A: If you are booking as a group of up to 4 people (excluding any children aged under 11), you will be asked to provide verification of your name through, for example, a driver’s licence, bank or credit card. If you are booking as a private household group of over 4 people (not including any children aged under 11), premises will also be required to ask adults within the group to provide proof of address.
